By accessing or using LeapOCR, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you use the service for a company or other entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms. If you have a separate signed agreement with LeapOCR, that agreement controls to the extent it conflicts with these Terms.
1. Service and accounts
LeapOCR provides document-processing software, including a website, dashboard, APIs, storage and upload flows, analytics, billing surfaces, and OCR or VLM-powered extraction features that can return markdown, structured JSON, bounding boxes, and related outputs.
- maintaining the security of your account, sessions, API keys, and credentials;
- all activity that occurs under your account or organization;
- ensuring that your users have authority to access and use the service;
- providing accurate registration, billing, and workspace information.
2. Customer content and outputs
You retain ownership of your documents, prompts, schemas, templates, extracted outputs, and other content you submit to the service ("Customer Content"). You grant LeapOCR a limited license to host, store, transmit, copy, transform, and otherwise process Customer Content solely as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the service for you.
You are responsible for the legality, accuracy, and rights clearance of Customer Content, including making sure you have permission to upload, process, and export that content.
OCR and VLM outputs can be incomplete, incorrect, or unsuitable for a particular use. You are responsible for reviewing, validating, and approving outputs before using them in production or in legal, medical, financial, tax, compliance, or other high-impact workflows.
LeapOCR is a software tool, not a law firm, medical provider, accounting firm, insurer, or compliance authority. The service and its outputs are not professional advice.
3. Acceptable use
You may not use LeapOCR to:
- violate law, regulations, sanctions, export controls, or third-party rights;
- upload malware, exploit code, or content intended to disrupt the service;
- circumvent authentication, rate limits, billing controls, or account restrictions;
- probe, reverse engineer, scrape, or benchmark the service in a harmful manner;
- process content you are not authorized to use or disclose.
4. Fees and billing
Paid plans, credits, usage charges, and add-ons are described in the pricing page, checkout flow, dashboard, or a separate order form. You authorize LeapOCR and its billing providers to charge the payment method associated with your account for amounts due.
Unless required by law or agreed in writing, fees already paid are non-refundable. We may suspend or limit access for overdue amounts.
5. Privacy, retention, and third parties
LeapOCR includes retention controls and job deletion features. Default OCR-job cleanup is designed around temporary processing rather than permanent storage, but some account, billing, audit, and security records may remain as required to run the service. Our Privacy Policy explains how data is handled in more detail.
LeapOCR depends on third-party providers for infrastructure, storage, billing, analytics, and model processing. Your use of the service may therefore involve third-party services such as Cloudflare, Hetzner, Google Gemini, OpenRouter, DeepInfra, Polar, PostHog, and Google Analytics, depending on the feature or workflow. A current list is available on our Subprocessors page.
6. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe your use poses a security, legal, billing, abuse, or operational risk, or if you materially breach these Terms. You may stop using the service at any time.
7. Intellectual property
LeapOCR and its software, branding, site content, documentation, and service design are owned by LeapOCR or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited rights expressly granted in these Terms, we reserve all rights.
8. Indemnity
You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless LeapOCR and its affiliates, officers, employees, and service providers from third-party claims, losses, liabilities, damages, and expenses arising from your Customer Content, your use of the service in violation of these Terms or applicable law, or your products, services, or decisions that rely on the service or its outputs.
9. Feedback
If you send us suggestions, comments, or feature requests, you grant us the right to use that feedback without restriction or compensation.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LeapOCR is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty that outputs will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, accurate, complete, or suitable for a specific workflow.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LeapOCR will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenues, goodwill, data, or business opportunity.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LeapOCR's aggregate liability arising out of or related to the service will not exceed the greater of the amounts you paid to LeapOCR for the service during the 12 months before the claim arose or USD $100.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and update the last-updated date above.
